The ‘feel good’ factor

Feel good factor

“People need stories more than bread itself. They tell us how to live, and why.” – Arabian Nights

Great content must have the ‘feel good factor’– keep in mind that your customers crave happiness- or better yet, watch how brands gorge on it relentlessly over the holiday season.

Its the simplest act of kindness that your brand can do for its clients. If you are boring and a hard bargaining business, then you need to breath and get a life.

Here is how you can get on a path to your makeover.

1. Give goodies

“Content is of great importance, but we must not underestimate the value of style” – Maya Angelou

Enjoy giving away things, free pens even. Once in a while, add some parties, promotions and free giveaways and send out ‘seccret invitations.’ Look at that, suddenly you are the story in town.

2. Return to your voice

“Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde

It’s the fastest way for you to be different. Dont just post on social media, do it differently. Engage differently, use different style. Your style. Difference mostly has to do with creativity, not big budgets.

3. Tell your brand’s story

“Content is king.” – Bill Gates

Or someone else will. Unlike your products, which you push through advertising, your brand is a person with a character and’feeling.’ Give the brand opportunities to show off. To do it noisily, go pick a fight (that you will win) with other brands.
